Toys for Tots

   The Library has two boxes available, one on each floor, for Toys for Tots donations.  Unwrapped items should be dropped off by December 13th.  Thank you for your generosity.

Mitten Tree

   The Children’s Library has a Mitten Tree for anyone who would like to donate new or unused mittens, hats, gloves, and scarves.  All items will be sent to New Fairfield Social Services.  The last date to bring in a contribution to the cause is Friday, December 7th.

Friends of the Library Cookie Walk

   The Friends of the Library will hold their annual Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 8th beginning at 10 am. All proceeds will benefit the Library. Volunteer bakers (four to six dozen please) may sign up in the Library or by email to jokupski@gmail.com.  All baked goods should be delivered to the Library on Friday, December 7th.  Thank you!

Adult Programs

   Friday Night Crafting Club, 6-8 pm.  Bring your project to the Library and take some time for yourself with fellow crafters.  This informal group meets in the Library’s lower level and requires no registration.

Children’s Programs

   Wee Ones, Mondays, in December until Dec. 10th, 10:30-11 am, Program Room.  Stories, music and movement with Ms. Janet for children ages 12-23 months.  Online registration is required for each month.     

   Tales for Twos, Tuesdays in December until Dec. 11th, 10:30-11 am, Program Room.  Stories, music and crafts with Ms. Janet for children ages 24-35 months.   Online registration is required for each month. 

   More Stories Please, Wednesdays in December until Dec. 12th, 10:30 am, Program Room.  Stories and a craft with Ms. JoAnn for children ages three to five.   Online registration is required for each month.

   Drop-In Storytime/Stay and Play, Thursdays until Dec. 13th, 10:30-11am, Program Room.  Stories, music and movement for all ages with Ms. JoAnn every Thursday unless school is closed or delayed.  No registration is required.  This program will resume in January.                                   …….

   Drop-in Saturday Craft, 11 am to 4 pm, Children’s Library.  Children of all ages are welcome to come between the hours of 11 am to 4 pm to do a craft at their leisure.  No registration is required.

   Elf on the Shelf, December 3rd to the 21st.  Visit the Children’s Library and see if you can find where our elf, Elliot, is hiding.  Upon checking out your books, quietly tell the Librarian where you found him and receive a prize.

 Winter Craft, Monday, Dec. 10th, 4:30-5:30 pm.  Children in grades one and up may join Katie Stevenson in creating a unique paper wreath.  Online registration opened Nov. 26th
