Adult Programs


   Friday Night Crafting Club, 6-8 pm.  Bring your project to the Library and take some time for yourself with fellow crafters.  This informal group meets in the Library’s lower level and requires no registration.

   Genealogy, Weds., Feb. 20, 6:45-7:30 pm.  Karen Keeler will be available to assist with your ancestry search.  Registration opened Feb. 6th.

   Spiritualist Maura Geist, Friday, March 1, 6-8 pm.  Maura will give a brief overview of mediumship and her understanding of the Afterlife.  She will then make connections for the audience members and bring loving and healing messages from loved ones that have passed.  Approximately six readings are typically able to be completed in a session.  There will be a brief intermission and a Q & A.  This program is sponsored by the Robert G. and Marguerite M. Derx Foundation.  Registration online opens Feb. 15th

   Spa Night with April, Weds., March 13, 6:30-7:30 pm.  Don’t miss this hands-on class as April demonstrates how to make natural and organic beauty products.  You will learn how to make your own lip balm and antibacterial spray.  Online registration opens Feb. 27.  This program is sponsored by the Derx Foundation.

   Library Board Meeting, Monday, March 4, 7 pm.  The public is always welcome!


Children’s Programs


    Drop-in Saturday Craft, 11 am to 4 pm, Children’s Library.  Children of all ages are welcome to come between the hours of 11 am to 4 pm to do a craft at their leisure.  No registration is required.

   Saturday Storytime, March 2, 11-11:30 am.  Children of all ages may join kindergarten teacher, Ms. Hannan, for stories and fun!  Online registration opens Feb. 16.

   Music for Little Superstars, Monday, March 4, 10:30-11:30 am.  Join Al deCant in this engaging, educational music and movement class for children ages 12-24 months.  Online registration opens Feb. 18.

   Tales for Twos, Tuesdays in February, 10:30-11 am, Program Room.  Stories, music and crafts with Ms. Heather for ages 24-35 months.  No Storytime on 2/19.  There are still open slots for this program.  Please register online through our website.

   More Stories Please, Wednesdays, Program Room, 10:30-11 am. Children ages three to five will meet for stories and crafts with Miss JoAnn in February. Online registration is required for each month.  

   Music with Ms. Mel, Weds., March 13, 10:30-11 am.  Children ages three to five are invited to join Ms. Mel for music and fun at the library.  Online registration opens Feb. 27.

   Drop-In Storytime/Stay and Play, Thursdays, 10:30-11am, Program Room.  Stories, music and movement for all ages with Ms. JoAnn every Thursday unless school is closed or delayed.  No registration is required.

Program Closing Information:  If New Fairfield schools are delayed due to weather, there will be no morning programs.  If school is cancelled, all Children’s Programs will be cancelled for the day even if the Library is still open.
