In Sickness and Health

We love having our community members visit the Library.  However, and this is a big “however,” the flu season is here and it seems to be very much alive in New Fairfield.  Due to everyone’s fluid health status this winter, if you or a child in your family has the flu, a cold, pinkeye, stomach bug, etc., please consider using our digital resources for the duration of the illness.  We often have patrons “killing time” here while waiting for prescriptions or a doctor’s appointment.  As we are a public building, the germs can be rampant endangering staff and others in the community.  We have so many resources available online that may be accessed at home in your pajamas.  Downloading the apps are easy.  Discover what we have to offer just by inputting your library card number and a password.  If you don’t have a password, call us, make one up, and we can put it on your account.  If you forget it, just call and create a new one. You don’t have to drive anywhere and you can enjoy a warm beverage, movie or book at home.  The staff and community will thank you for secluding yourself.  We look forward to seeing you when all those nasty germs are gone!
