New Fairfield Free Public Library Survey

   The New Fairfield Library would like to know how we can SERVE YOU BETTER!  Please take a few minutes to answer our short Survey about library programs and services, and let us know how we are doing and what services and programs you would like to see. Responses will be collected until Feb. 14, 2018.  Please know that some things are not within our power to change, but wherever we can make improvements or changes, we will. Adult Programs

   Friday Night Crafting Club, 6-8 pm.  Bring your project to the Library and take some time for yourself with fellow crafters.  This informal group meets in the Library’s lower level and requires no registration.

   Learn Video Production, Weds., Feb. 7, 6:30 pm., community Room.  Cable Access Channel presents this enlightening program on the world of video production.  Ages 17 and up.  Registration opens Jan. 24.

   The Art of Cardmaking, Friday, Feb. 9, 6 pm, Program Room.  Join Linda Norris as she helps you to create your own unique cards.  All the embellishments you need will be provided.  Registration opens Jan. 26.

   Meditation and Fitness Apps, Weds., Feb. 21, 6 pm, Program Room.  Join Dawn from Tech Savvy as she gets you started using some timely apps!  Registration opens Feb. 7.

   Genealogy, Weds., Feb. 21, 6:45 pm, Community Room.  Karen Keeler will be available to assist you with your ancestry search. 

Programs for Children

   Wee Ones, Mondays, 10:30-11 am, Program Room.  Stories, music and movement with Ms. Janet for children ages 12-23 months.  Registration for February opens Jan. 22.

   Tales for Twos, Tuesdays, 10:30-11 am, Program Room.  Stories, music and crafts with Ms. Janet for children ages 24-35 months.   Registration for February opens Jan. 23. is required.

   More Stories Please, Weds., 10:30 am, Program Room.  Stories and a craft with Ms. JoAnn for children ages three to five.  Registration for February opens Jan. 24.  Please note the new time change. 

   Drop-In Storytime/Stay and Play, Thursdays, 10:30-11am, Program Room.  Stories, music and movement for all ages with Ms. JoAnn every Thursday unless school is closed or delayed.  No registration is required.

   Candy Sushi, Monday, Jan. 29, 4:30 pm, Program Room.  Children in grades one and up are invited to join Katie Stevenson in creating a reasonable facsimile of sushi made with candy.  Registration opened Jan. 13.

   First Saturday Storytime, Feb. 3, 11-11:30 am., Program Room.  Children of all ages may join kindergarten teacher, Ms. Hannan, for stories and fun!  Registration opens Jan. 20.

Program Note:  If New Fairfield Schools are delayed due to weather, there will be no morning programs.  If school is cancelled, all Children’s Programs are also cancelled for the day even if the library is still open.
