Summer Reading Volunteers Needed

It’s hard to believe that it’s that time of year again!  Our summer reading program will run from June 25th to August 3rd and we will need high school volunteers to operate the summer reading desk.  Volunteers will receive community service time for their efforts and must attend only one of the following training session dates:  Thursday, May 31, 3:30-4:30 pm; Friday, June 1, 6:30-7:30 pm; Monday, June 4, 6-7 pm; or Tuesday, June 5, 3:30-4:30 pm.  Students need to commit to a minimum of six hours over the course of the six-week program and can certainly sign up for more hours.  Volunteers could get all of their yearly required community service time accomplished in one summer! Applications are available on the Library’s website only.  Call 203.312.5682 for more information.
