Holiday Closure

   The Library will be closed at 5 pm, Wednesday, November 27, and all day Thursday, November 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.  Normal operating hours will resume on Friday, November 29th.

Mitten Tree

   The Mitten Tree is located in the Children’s Library and will be accepting donations of new or unused hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves until December 6th.  All donations will be given to New Fairfield’s Department of Social Services.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Adult Programs/November 

   Friday Night Crafters, 6-8 pm.  No registration required.  Take some time for yourself and pop in to work on whatever project you have going.

   Card Making, Friday, Dec. 13, 6-7 pm.  Linda Norris will assist you in crating your own unique cards.  All the embellishments will be provided!  Registration online opens 11/29.

   Christmas Concert, Sunday, 12/13, 1:30-3:00 pm.  Listen to the Candlewood Brass Quintet as they perform well-known tunes, some new to you, and new takes on old favorites.  Online registration opens 12/1.

Children’s Programs/November

   Seasonal Craft, Dec. 2, 4:30-5:30 pm.  Children in Kindergarten and up are invited to join Ms. Katie for a holiday craft.  Registration opened 11/18.

   Music with Ms. Mel, Weds., Dec. 11, 10:30-11 am.  Children three to five are invited to join Ms. Mel for music and fun!  Registration opens 11/27.

   Wee Ones, Mondays, 10:30-11 am.  Stories, music and movement with Ms. Janet for children 12-23 months. Register online. 

   Tales for Two’s, Tuesdays, 10:30-11 am.  Stories, music and crafts with Ms. Janet for children 24-35 months.  Registration online is required.

   More Stories Please, Wednesdays, 10:30-11 am.  Children ages three to five are invited to join Ms. JoAnn for stories and crafts. Online registration is required. 

   Drop-In Storytime/Stay and Play, Thursdays, 10:30 am.  No registration required.  Stories, music and movement for children of all ages with Ms. JoAnn.

   Drop-In Craft, Saturdays,11 am to 4 pm.  Children of all ages are invited to stop in and enjoy a craft.

   Santa’s Workshop, Sat., Nov. 30, 12:30-3:30.  Come enjoy the pre-tree lighting activities.  Talk to Santa’s elves at the North Pole, meet Mrs. Claus, and, of course, visit with Santa in the Library’s Community Room!  Registration is required through Parks and Rec to visit with Santa.  Call 203.312.5633 for your time slot.  Remember your cameras! 

   Gingerbread House, Sat., Nov. 30, Children’s Library.  Drop in to see our huge Gingerbread House and meet the Gingerbread Man as you wait to meet Santa or do a craft.  This is a great holiday photo opportunity.

   Holiday Magic, Sat., Nov. 30, 1-2:30 pm.  Meet our roving magician, Tom O’Brien, as he strolls through the Library doing his special magic tricks!
