Library Closing

   The Library will be closed on November 10th and 11th in observance of Veterans’ Day.

Adult Programs/November  

   Friday Night Crafters, 6-8 pm.  No registration required.  Take some time for yourself and pop in to work on whatever project you have going.

   Intro to Dance, Friday, Nov. 8, 6:30-7:30 pm.  Have you ever wanted to try dance lessons?  SAS School of Dance founder, Dan Sas, will be here to help you try ballroom, ballet or jazz for free!  This program is for adults only. Registration opened Oct. 25.

   Cutting Monthly Expenses, Weds., Nov. 13, 6:30-7:30 pm.  Representatives from David Lerner Associates will be offering an informal workshop to allow you to utilize savings strategies to help lower your monthly bills.  Registration opened Oct. 30.

   Friends of the Library Meeting, Thursday, Nov. 14, 10 am.

   Casework on Your Corner presented by the Office of Congresswoman, Jahana Hayes.  Tuesday, November 19, 10am-2pm. Do you have questions about an immigration case? Need documentation from the VA? Wondering how to apply for Medicare, Social Security, Disability, or another federal program? We are here to help.

   Genealogy, Weds., Nov. 20, 6:45-7:30 pm.  Karen Keeler will be available to assist with your Ancestry search.  Registration is open.

   Children’s Programs/November

   Wee Ones, Mondays, 10:30-11 am.  Stories, music and movement with Ms. Janet for children 12-23 months. Register online.  The Library will be closed on Monday, November 11.

   Tales for Two’s, Tuesdays, 10:30-11 am.  Stories, music and crafts with Ms. Janet for children 24-35 months.  Registration online is required.

   More Stories Please, Wednesdays, 10:30-11 am.  Children ages three to five are invited to join Ms. JoAnn for stories and crafts. Online registration is required. No program 11/13.

   Stuffed Animal Sleepover at the Little Red Schoolhouse, Friday, 11/8-11/9, 5-5:45 pm. 

   Music with Ms. Mel, Weds., Nov. 13, 10:30-11 am.  Children ages three to five are invited to join Ms. Mel for music and fun at the Library!  Online registration opened Oct. 30.

   Sticky Jams—Where the Wild Things Are, Weds., Nov. 13, 1-1:45 pm.  This will be an interactive celebration weaving music and movement activities together.  Online registration opened Oct. 30.

   Drop-In Storytime/Stay and Play, Thursdays, 10:30 am.  No registration required.  Stories, music and movement for children of all ages with Ms. JoAnn.

   Drop-In Craft, Saturdays,11 am to 4 pm.  Children of all ages are invited to stop in and enjoy a craft.

   Music with Cathi, Thurs., Nov. 14, 1:30-2 pm.  Children ages three to five may join Ms. Cathi for music and fun.  Registration opens Oct. 31.

   Intro to STEAM-LEGO, Friday, Nov. 15, 1:30-3 pm.  Tap into your imagination with tens of thousands of LEGO parts.  Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas.  This program is for children in grades K-2.  Register online.

   Seasonal Craft, Friday, Nov. 15, 4:30-5:30 pm.  Children in grades one and up are invited to join Ms. Katie in making a seasonal craft.  Registration is open.

   Santa’s Workshop, Sat., Nov. 30, 12:30-3:30.  Come enjoy the pre-tree lighting activities.  Talk to Santa’s elves at the North Pole, meet Mrs. Claus, and, of course, visit with Santa in the Library’s Community Room!  Registration is required through Parks and Rec to visit with Santa.  Call 203.312.5633 for your time slot.  Remember your cameras! 

   Gingerbread House, Sat., Nov. 30, Children’s Library.  Come see our huge Gingerbread House and meet the Gingerbread Man as you wait to meet Santa or do a craft.  This is a great holiday photo opportunity.

   Holiday Drop-in Craft, Sat., Nov. 30, Library Children’s Program Room, 12:30-3:330 pm.

   Holiday Magic, Sat., Nov. 30, 1-2:30 pm.  Meet our roving magician, Tom O’Brien, as he strolls through the Library doing his special magic tricks!
